EPMD

Biography

EPMD, short for Erick and Parrish Making Dollars, is a Hip Hop duo formed by Brentwood, Long Island-raised Erick Sermon and Parrish Smith in 1987. Their monotone delivery and heavy use of funk samples allowed them to stand out among the East Coast hip hop groups. They formed the Hit Squad in the early 1990's, a crew of artists which included Redman, Das Efx, K-Solo. EPMD has dissolved and reunited twice, but have been performing together since 2006.
