Biography

American indie rock group from Duluth, Minnesota.

Formed in 1994 by Alan Sparhawk (vocals, guitar, piano), John Nichols (bass) and Mimi Parker (vocals, drums). Following Nichols' departure, the bass player role was later occupied by Zak Sally (1994-2005), Matt Livingston (2005-2008) and Steve Garrington (2008-2021) before the band officially became a duo of Sparhawk and Parker in the final two years of the group's existence.

Ended in 2022 following the death of Mimi Parker.
