X-Clan

Biography

Original members: Anthony Hardin, Claude Gray, Jason Hunter, and Lumumba Robert Carson

X-Clan is a militantly pro-Afrocentric hip-hop group from Brooklyn, New York. The group was once the cornerstone act of the Blackwatch movement, a collective during the early 1990s, which also included Lin Que, aka Isis and Queen Mother Rage. This version of the group disbanded in 1995.

Later that year, Sugar Shaft died of AIDS, and in 1996, Brother J released an album with the Dark Sun Riders.
